HAVE Y'ALL MISSED ME? I'VE BEEN BUSY, FINALLY REALIZIN' IT'S MY TIME!

Sittin' here passin' the time of day and just realized it's been almost 9 months since I've updated my blog!  Mr. Brady's on the bed beside my desk...watchin' TV and patiently waitin' to see if we're gonna go on a ride.

A lot's gone on since I checked in with you guys last.  I've been busy...happy busy...doin' some things just for me.  Realized I was past due to do some things just for me and nobody else.  Been a long time....it was MY turn.
It's workin' out JUST fine!  I let go of a job that had pulled me down for the past 5 years...I let go of walkin' up a one way street, bustin' my butt for a place I love and never once gettin' a pat on the back from a person who always took credit for everything I did. When the fear of lettin' go hit me...I was offered a job that scared me to death.  Took it, love it...hope to be there a long time.  It's nice to look forward to going to work...and it's nice to work with people who know what they're doin' and do it well.  The hours work out great for me and have given me a freedom I haven't had for many years.  Some days I don't know what to do with myself!

But don't worry...I've found plenty to do...I've actually gotten some things organized that have been a mess for years...Mr. Brady and I try to take rides around the beach on the golf cart as much as we can...I've been able to accept lunch and dinner dates with friends where I was always unavailable in the past...I've learned to laugh again..and am enjoying one of my favorite things...meetin' new people.

My last blog was all about Mr. Brady's journey into my heart.  I'm glad to announce that he's made GREAT STRIDES and has settled in beautifully.  Thanks to Mr. Dirk, our "trainer",  he is in and out of the car, gets along with other folks and dogs pretty good, loves to take walks and has shown me a personality that I adore.  He LOVES to watch TV...his favorite show is GMA with Hoda and Kathy Lee.  He's goofy and sweet and doesn't know he's a poodle.  He ain't no froo-froo dog.  Having him has made my life a whole lot brighter and given me a reason to look forward to coming home.

As much as he loved the bark park, he's been kicked out.  I love a rebel!  Seems he was a bit too pushy with the other dogs and they voted him out.  That's OK.  I love him JUST the way he is.

Enough about Mr. Brady...let's get on with the rest of what's been goin' on!

Until this past year I didn't realize just how many wonderful friends I have.  I want all of you to know how much I appreciate that friendship and it's not that I took it for granted...I really didn't realize it!  You have come through for me and made me feel alive again.  I've been in awe and humbled to see how many of you care and make yourself available for me.  I'm going to do better now that I'm finding myself after so many years of doing for others before myself.  I've discovered I kinda like myself...and that's a good feelin'.  Thanks to all of you who have stood by me and let me know that you truly care.

Every year I go on a tropical vacation with a group of other "mature" girls.  This year's trip was quite an experience.  I loved the vacation, loved the activities, loved the food and drinks...and took lots of photos to keep remindin' me what a good time we had.  I think that trip might be the subject for my next blog. :)  Don't be skeered, Carolina Golden Girls...I won't tell any secrets!  Came back refreshed, tanned and with a new outlook on what's to come!

Time to get off of here.  It's time for me and Mr. Brady to hit the road.  Glad to be back.  Glad YOU'RE back!  Plannin' on a lot more dancin' from this point on...Are you with me?  Remember my philosophy...
IF NOTHIN' ELSE WORKS,  WE MIGHT AS WELL DANCE!

THANKS FOR DROPPIN' IN...WHILE YOU'RE HERE, WON'T YOU LEAVE A COMMENT?
